This is a long exposure, taken around 8PM in January. A touch of moonlight did a great job light painting the valley. The constellation Orion can be seen in the upper right, his belt just peeking over the clouds. The bright areas in the trees below are from car headlights.
This was the last stop in the valley for this trip. The previous nights had no moonlight, so this was a great surprise. Orion and its nebula are visible in the upper right.
